Shally Zucker


I commenced my yoga journey in 1998 while working as a freelance fashion make-up artist in bustling New York City. The desire for new horizons led me to Los Angeles to explore opportunities in Hollywood.


My inaugural yoga experience took place at Bryan Kest's Power Yoga studio in Santa Monica. I dedicated approximately three years to intensive study under his guidance.


Coming from a small Israeli beach town, where my time was divided between dance classes and beach outings, the practice of yoga resonated deeply with me, encompassing these cherished aspects of my upbringing.


In 2000 i started daily traditional Ashtanga yoga study with Chuck Miller and his wife, Maty Ezraty (1963-2019), at Yoga Works in los angeles ca.This practice deeply resonated with me, prompting me to undertake the Yoga Works training program in the summer of 2002 with Maty and Lisa Walford (a certified Iyengar yoga instructor). in addition to that i assisted renowned Vinyasa flow teachers Annie Carpenter and Sean Corn while commencing teaching engagements at Yoga Works and various other studios in Los Angeles ca.


Returning to New York City in 2007, I immersed myself in a two-year study with Eddie Stern at his shala.


In 2015, I embarked on a transformative journey to the KPJAYI Ashtanga school in Mysore, India. There, I engaged in rigorous studies under the guidance of Paramaguru R. Sharath Jois, lineage holder of Ashtanga yoga in the tradition of his grandfather, K. Pattabhi Jois, for a profound three-month period.


Currently i reside in budapest hungary, my classes are the perfect blend of fun and challenge, emphasizing tailored coaching and yoga instruction that respects the unique energy, space, and physical capabilities of each student. My teachings philosophy and techniques are based from my understanding that the yoga practice can be used as a tool for a therapeutic practice on the physical, emotional, and psychological level by deepening the connection to self.
